How To Use
MORNING OR EVENING:
STEP 1
Wash face with the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar once daily in the morning or night. We recommend alternating this exfoliating formula with a gentle cleanser. Eye sensitivity can occur; avoid directly cleansing the eye area.
STEP 2
Apply After Breakout™ Fade + Clarify Serum to clean, dry skin every other day for the first 2 weeks. Then proceed to using once daily in the morning or night. If tolerated, this treatment can be used twice daily, both in the morning and night. If applying in the morning, make sure to layer your sunscreen on top as the last step of your routine.
STEP 3
Apply 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum + Spot Treatment to clean, dry skin every other day for the first 2 weeks. Then proceed to using once daily, morning or night.
The Acne Serum + Spot Treatment can be applied to the entire face if you suffer from breakouts all over, or it can be used as a spot treatment to target specific areas of congestion or individual pimples. Follow with a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the daytime and a moisturizer at night. We do not recommend applying the Acne Serum + Spot Treatment and After Breakout™ Fade + Clarify Serum at the same time. Instead, alternate using one in the morning and the other at night.

- Do not use if you have very sensitive skin or are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide.
- When using this product: Skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips and mouth. Avoid contact with hair and dyed fabrics, which may be bleached by this product. Skin irritation may occur, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling or possibly swelling. Irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration.
- Stop use and ask a doctor if irritation becomes severe.
- Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

FAQs
If I have dark marks and acne, do I use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar or the Even Tone Cleansing Bar?
If you have dark marks, suffer from acne and have oily skin, use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar to reduce the visibility of these blemishes. If you don’t suffer from oily skin or aren't trying to help reduce the appearance of acne but have discolorations or want a brighter, more even-toned complexion, use the Even Tone Cleansing Bar. It is important to remember that all three of our cleansing bars help with the look of acne and discoloration, so the bar should be chosen based on skin type. For example, someone with dry skin/aging concerns and acne/discoloration would pick the Combination Skin Cleansing Bar.
Can the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar be used on the body?
We recommend using the Clear and Even Tone Body Cleansing Bar for a full body treatment.
Can I use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar with another cleanser?
Yes. This bar can be used along with our other cleansers.
Is it normal for my skin to feel irritated, red or peel after using the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar?
No. If you are experiencing irritation, redness or peeling, it could be caused by a few other things: you may be scrubbing too hard with the sponge, your skin is too sensitive for this cleanser, you are using this product with too many exfoliating products and/or not giving your skin enough hydration. If this occurs, we recommend that you try our gentler cleansing options, Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser or LacticGlow Micropolish Resurface & Brighten Cleanser.
How can I keep my cleansing bar sponges clean?
These reusable sponges can be washed with laundry in a washing machine. We recommend washing them along with towels and letting them air dry. It is also important to let the sponge air dry after each use and not leave it inside the cleansing jar. If you need replacements, we sell additional sponges here on our website.
Is there Sodium Hydroxide in your cleansing bars?
Sodium Hydroxide is commonly used in the soap-making process to turn fats and oils into soap - a process called saponification. However, the amount of Sodium Hydroxide used in the soap manufacturing process is not the amount you end up with in the finished product. By the end of the soap-making process, most of the sodium hydroxide has dissociated (broken up) and is no longer present in the final product. As a result, while we use Sodium Hydroxide as a raw ingredient in our manufacturing process, there is only a residual amount of Sodium Hydroxide present in our finished cleansing bars.
Should the 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum + Spot Treatment only be used directly on breakouts or all over the face?
This product functions as both an all-over acne treatment AND a spot treatment!
Should 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum + Spot Treatment only be used at night?
This product can be used in the morning and evening! Just make sure you apply sunblock during the day.
Can I use 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum + Spot Treatment if I have sensitive skin?
Yes! We suggest sensitive skin types start out using every other night.
Can I use After Breakout™ with the 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum + Spot Treatment?
Yes, you can use the After Breakout™ Fade + Clarify Serum with the 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Serum + Spot Treatment. However, we do not recommend applying the Acne Serum and After Breakout™ Serum at the same time of day. Instead, alternate using one in the morning and the other at night. It's essential to follow up with a moisturizer, and make sure to apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the daytime for sun protection.
Can I use After Breakout™ with Retinol and Vitamin C?
Yes, you can use After Breakout™ Fade + Clarify Serum with Retinol and Vitamin C if you struggle with extra stubborn post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Can I use After Breakout™ if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, however, we recommend doing a patch test and then starting out using it every other day.
