If I have dark marks and acne, do I use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar or the Even Tone Cleansing Bar? 
If you have dark marks, suffer from acne and have oily skin, use the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar. If you don’t suffer from oily skin or acne but have discolorations or want a brighter, more even-toned complexion, use the Even Tone Cleansing Bar. It is important to remember that all three of our cleansing bars help improve the look of uneven skin tone, so choose your bar based on your skin type.

If I have sensitive skin should I use this bar?
For sensitive skin, we recommend that you try our Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser. You could also try using this bar without the exfoliating sponge.

Is it normal for my skin to feel irritated, red or peel after using this product?
No. If you are experiencing irritation, redness or peeling, it could be caused by a few other things: you may be scrubbing too hard with the sponge, your skin is too sensitive for this cleanser, you are using this product with too many exfoliating products and/or not giving your skin enough hydration. We recommend that you try our gentler cleansing options, Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser or LacticGlow Micropolish Resurface & Brighten Cleanser.

Can I use this bar with another cleanser?
Yes. This bar can be used along with our other cleansers.

Can this be used on the body?
We recommend using the Clear and Even Tone Body Cleansing Bar for a full-body treatment.

Is there Sodium Hydroxide in your cleanser bars?
Sodium Hydroxide is commonly used in the soap making process to turn fats and oils into soap - a process called saponification. However, the amount of Sodium Hydroxide used in the soap manufacturing process is not the amount you end up with in the finished product. By the end of the soap making process, most of the sodium hydroxide has dissociated (broken up) and is no longer present in the final product. As a result, while we use Sodium Hydroxide as a raw ingredient in our manufacturing process, there is only a residual amount of Sodium Hydroxide present in our finished cleansing bars.

How can I keep my sponges clean? 
These reusable sponges can be washed with laundry in a washing machine. We recommend washing them along with towels and letting them air dry. It is also important to let the sponge air dry after each use and not leave them inside the cleansing jar. 

What skin concerns does the Even Tone 5% AHA Smoothing Body Wash target? 
This body wash is formulated to improve the look of bumpy texture, body breakouts, and uneven skin tone. It combines resurfacing Glycolic Acid with brightening Niacinamide, while Kombucha Black Tea Ferment and Phytosqualane help hydrate and support a healthy skin barrier.

What’s the difference between the Body Wash and the Body Bar? 
The main differences come down to format and active ingredients. The Even Tone 5% AHA  Body Wash is a creamy, lathering gel formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Kombucha Black Tea Ferment, and Phytosqualane, ideal for gentle daily exfoliation, smoothing, and improving the look of bumpy texture and uneven tone. The Clear and Even Tone Body Bar is a solid 3-in-1 cleansing treatment that features Charcoal, Kojic Acid, and Sulfur. Both are effective for uneven skin tone but offer different formats and ingredient benefits to suit your routine.

Can I use the Body Wash and Body Bar together?
Yes, these products can be alternated! For example, you can use the Even Tone Body Wash one day, and the Clear and Even Tone Body Bar the next, depending on your skin’s needs. You can also use them in a double cleanse routine—starting with the Body Wash to remove buildup and sweat, then following with the Body Bar to deeply cleanse and prep the skin for treatments or moisturizers.

Is the Body Wash suitable for all skin types? 
Yes, especially beneficial for those dealing with body breakouts, uneven tone, or rough texture. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing first.

Does the Body Wash contain fragrance?
There is no synthetic fragrance or parfum in this formula. It features an energizing, pleasant scent derived from natural oils, designed to enhance your shower experience!

Can Skin Renew be used on the face as well as the body?
Skin Renew is formulated primarily as a body cream, but it can be used on the face if your skin tolerates richer creams. If you have oily or breakout-prone skin, we recommend patch-testing first or using one of our face-specific moisturizers or treatments instead.

Can I use the Skin Renew Nourishing Body Cream with your other body products? 
Yes! The Skin Renew Body Cream is the perfect final step in your body routine. Use it after cleansing or exfoliating to deeply hydrate and lock in moisture for soft, nourished skin.

What is the difference between the 1% Retinoid in the PM Serum and the Retinol in your other products?
This serum features Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (aka “HPR” or “Granactive Retinoid”). This next-generation retinoid lives in the Vitamin A family and is an ester of Retinoic Acid (aka Tretinoin). It has been shown to be more potent than Retinol without the irritating side effects.

Can I mix these serums with other products?
Yes! We love to mix this product with other serums and moisturizers. Cocktail with your favorite moisturizer for a boost of hydration! However, avoid mixing with other serums that contain Retinol or other Vitamin A derivatives.

Should this serum be used once a day?
We recommend using the AM serum every morning after cleansing and before applying SPF. The PM serum should be used every other night for the first two weeks and then increased to nightly use. Always follow with a nighttime moisturizer.

If I have acne, how do I incorporate this serum into my acne regimen?
We recommend that you continue to use this product daily for the best discoloration/anti-aging results and incorporate your acne serums/treatments into your regimen every other day. If tolerated, you can use your acne treatments daily while using this product.

Can I use this serum if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, but for sensitive skin types, we recommend that you perform a patch test first on your chin or forehead. Sensitive skin types should also start with applications every other day for the PM serum.

How long before I notice a difference in my skin?
Everyone’s skin is different, so results can vary. It is typical to see results anywhere between 6-8 weeks; however, some people experience results faster.

Is this serum artificial fragrance-free?
Yes!

What does “non nano” formula mean?
SheerGlow™ is formulated with finely milled Zinc Oxide so when the formula is applied, it sits on top of the skin. The particles are “non nano,” meaning they are not small enough to penetrate the skin, which is considered to be better for your body.

Is this a sunscreen or moisturizer or is it both?
This dual-purpose formula is a moisturizer and a broad-spectrum SPF in one! Suitable for all skin types.

Should I wear sunscreen or SPF daily?
Yes! SPF or sunscreen should be applied every morning as the final step in your skincare routine and before sun exposure. No matter your skin tone, everyone’s skin needs to be protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays even when it’s cloudy. Not to mention, a daily SPF can also protect your skin from the visible signs of aging and hyperpigmentation.

It’s also important to note that if you’re using corrective skincare products that contain AHAs or Retinol, your skin could be more sensitive to sun exposure. As a result, you should make sure you’re applying an SPF when using such products.

How They Protect the Skin
Chemical: Neutralize UV rays before they can damage the skin. Ingredients are absorbed by top layers of the skin to filter the UVB/UVA rays and convert them into heat, neutralizing them.

Physical: Reflect UV rays. Ingredients form a barrier on the surface of the skin that helps reflect UV rays away from the skin.

Primary Benefits
Chemical: Depending on the formulation, chemical sunscreens may be easier to rub into the skin and less likely to leave a white cast. Tend to be better for water & sweat resistance. Tend to be thinner and easier to spread.

Physical: Depending on the formulation, mineral sunscreens may be thicker and difficult to fully blend into the skin, leaving a white cast. Tend to be less irritating and better for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Last longer when in direct UV light, but not when wet or sweating.

Is this a lip gloss or a lip balm?
This product is neither a lip gloss nor a lip balm. While this product is designed to feel like a lip gloss, it is a treatment that does not just sit on top of the lips. The formula absorbs into the lips to provide intense hydration. 

Is this product for men and women? 
The Hydrating Lip Treatment is great for both men and women!
